Josh Segarra joked that he was up for a musical spin-off from She-Hulk: Lawyer.
In an interview with E! News, Renée Elise Goldsberry, who plays Mallory Book on the show and is an alumnus of legal series such as The good wife and won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for hamilton, said the Disney+ series’ courtroom scenes were “everything I ever dreamed of.” However, she then added “less, maybe a musical number or two”.
Segarra, who plays Augustus “Pug” Pugliese and has starred in musicals such as Lysistrate Jones and On your feet!, added: “Maybe that’s what we’re missing.” He then joked that he would like to do “She-Hulk: The Musical”. “Let’s go! Let’s go,” he said.
“She-Hulk: The Musical” is a reference to an in-universe musical based on the life of Steve Rogers/Captain America called “Rogers: The Musical”. Some of this stage production appeared in 2021 Hawk Eye and recounted the events of the 2012 Battle of New York avengers. Since then, Marvel Studios presented a live performance of the song “Save the City” from “Rogers: The Musical” at D23 Expo and released this track online.
