When a group of grandmas tell you to ‘come dance’ to a happy music video, the least you can do is the robot, OKAY? Respect your elders!

KBG84 is a group of grandmothers from Kohima Island in Okinawa, Japan who are all 80 or older (oldest member is 97 old fabulous). Together they recorded an album and toured Japan, even becoming “pop idols”, France-Presse Associate reports. On this distinction, a member – who is described as the “queen bee” of the group and in this case even Beyoncé can have a seat, except no, give your seat to the old lady Bey, my God – explained that “when I first heard someone call us ‘idols’, I thought an idol meant someone who had lived a long life and was at the gates of heaven … but in Tokyo, they told me he was an artist. ”

The group has 33 sassy seniors in total, although it seems only 26 showed up to film the “Come On and Dance” music video; maybe the other seven decided to go bingo that afternoon. They describe their music as about their island and their nature – “whales in the sea gushing or dolphins doing somersaults”. If a bunch of sassy elders singing about whales isn’t the pinnacle of modern string pop music then I don’t know what it is and frankly I don’t want to know either because I would rather far away watch “Come On and Dance” on repeat.

The title of “Grandma’s Best Girl Group” had, at least in my opinion, been previously held by Buranovskiye Babushki, a Russian group of eight elderly people who took part in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest and baked bread on scene:
